Sophie Forte is a French chanson and children’s song singer, as well as a stage and movie actress, humorist, writer and director.

 

She began her career as a singer in Montmartre’ cabarets before turning to humor and one-woman shows.

 

As a humorist, she was a commentator for television and radio shows such as “Vivement Dimanche” or “Rien à cirer” with Laurent Ruquier.

 

In 2001, after 5 one-woman shows and a career as a now-famous actress, she decided to write lyrics and surrounded herself with musiciansto devote herself to singing.

 

She released her first album of French chanson in 2004 simply entitled “Sophie Forte” and then moved to children’s song through 5 albums. For each project, Sophie Forte creates a new show and goes on tour throughout France with her musicians.
It’s beside Thibauld Defever that she decided to move back to French chanson on the album “Presque nous”.

 

Between plays, film shootings and a new book, she will be back with a new French chanson album to be released and toured in 2021.
