Pierre Baillot is a multi-instrumentalist, composer and producer for artistic projects and bespoke composition.
After playing Jazz as a teenager with the saxophone and being inspired by travels, Pierre developed a passion for World Music, especially music from India, Africa, and the Middle East. Thanks to improvisation, he finds natural bridges between these cultures and jazz, and he masters various oriental instruments such as the oud, duduk, Indian flutes, and nay flutes.
He created Maido Project in 2006 – 6 albums distributed & more than 30 compilations-. Maido Project blends world music, jazz, and electro since its inception.
In 2006 again, the band won the film music competition ‘Musiques en Courts’.
During the pandemic in an unexpected meeting with the baroque countertenor Sébastien Fournier, he created Sprezzatura World, a unique project that fuses medieval music, world music, and jazz.
Pierre Baillot regularly composes for movies, documentaries, commercials and music libraries. He also had collaborated with
Didier Sustrac, Clara Ponty, Félix Sabal Lecco, various groups led by Edmund Carneiro, Geyster or DJ Vanetty among others.
