Composer and drummer / percussionist, Bertrand Renaudin is one of the greatest European Jazz musi-cian and composer. Since 40 years and 20 studio albums under his own name, he delivers a generous and fascinating music, between Jazz and World Music, as accessible as possible.

 

Bertrand Renaudin discovered drums and Jazz in the 70’s alongside Dante Agostini and Kenny Clark. After winning the Concours National de Jazz de la Défense with his quartet in 1988, he decided the next year to focus on his own compostions , clear and suggestive melodies of the landscapes crossed by this melodist drummer.

 

For over 35 years, Bertrand Renaudin kept on touring the most prestigious venues, from clubs to the biggest festivals.

Passionate about travels, which influence colour his compositions, he will have many tours abroad with his bands. It lead them across Middle East, Eastern countries, Japan and mostly across Africa.

 

He was acknowledged by the general public with his successful albums L’Arbre Voyage in 2000 and Turbulent Silence in 2002, confirming the international enthusiasm for this outstanding musician.

 

His music was also featured in documentaries such as “History of Tour de France” – Gold Ithème in Cannes in 2001, or “This World: Investigate Mauritania” on BBC World in 2006. He also created music for contemporary ballets : « La Traversée du Jour” from choreographer Flora Théfaine in 1995 and “Deas Pieds et Des Mains” for the Tap Breizh Company in 2006.
